The product is excellent as a blue-tooth device if you need or want to remain open for what's happening acoustically in your environment.As a hearing aid it is an amplifier of every frequency out there it amplifies speech very well but surrounding noise just as well. So you get an amplifier covering the whole spectrum of noises plus the speech you have been looking for. In my case I needed the speech frequency amplified mainly. The other frequencies, which I heard well before are now overwhelming me. In some of the incoming sounds this is really painful. Turning the volume down does not help, because it turns the wanted frequencies down too. Unfortunately I had to return the item for that reason.
