The sound quality on these glasses are surprisingly good. You can still hear some of the sounds of the environment around you which is also a plus for me, as it adds safety while in walking or biking Which I do everyday. I really love these glasses and like showing it off to family and friends. With that said, The only set back for me with these is the short distance of the Bluetooth receiver range to your personal device. Very short range and the Bluetooth connection gets lost at 15 feet which seems too short. Anyways I still make good use of it and enjoy wearing it.First I'm going to use this review to dispel a couple of rumors and outright false things I've read in other reviews of this.#1. I wear these on croakies or a lanyard or whatever you want to call it and am constantly hanging them around my neck. It is true that you turn these upside down to turn them off, but they will not turn off while hanging around your neck...ever.#2These of course have very little bass, But that's to be expected because the base comes from the ceiling of the earbud with your ear canal, it's able to produce that base like effect. With these angling speakers directly towards your ear canal if you know anything about audio there's no way to expect a high level of bass in any song whatsoever. That said, they sound amazing.3. I can hear the outside world even when these are turned up the level 10, I do people's pools for a living and when I'm cleaning the pool and have these going, if they step outside and yell to me I hear them every single time and I'm able to easily press the button on the frame to pause the music and begin the conversation.I only have one gripe about these. If you wear them with a hat or a beanie, they will make the very top of your ear right next to where it's connected to your head feel a little bit of pain due to being pushing down on the glasses. It's just a little uncomfortable and I'm able to get through it the whole day without having to take it off because it's too painful. The battery life's kind of weak too. After about 5 or 6 hours, it dies and I have to plug it in to my carport but within 30 45 minutes I arrive at my next pool and they are at 100% and ready to go for the rest of the day.Totally worth it.Don't listen all these negative reviews. They either are making assumptions, speculating or had an anomalous experience that wouldn't be replicated in 99% of the people who buy these.I highly recommend these for ANYONE and EVERYONE who wants to enjoy their music while still ALWAYS being available to the outside world.. while being stylish AF at the same time?I did a real-time review in a text message thread with my friends. I'll paste the messages here with some modifications for privacy. They make for a very thorough review that I think many will find helpful. These have some redeeming qualities. First, they sound surprisingly good considering. Or I should say better than I anticipated. Second, many of us carry headphones and sunglasses anyway. Eliminates a device. Third, they look decent enough on me. Fourth, they're very comfortable compared to having some crap in my ear. Fifth, turns out my wife really likes them. There are many problems though.First, they're not AirPods or even Powerbeats Pros. The former are almost flawless with the exception of fit (for me personally). The latter still charge wacky-like and it's still something in my ear. However, I have one set for casual that barely feel like they're there [AirPods]. They come everywhere with me. And I have another set that stand up to the active lifestyle and have better sound and battery life (when they charge properly). I can also wear them both inside and outside without being an 80s meme.Second, they don't feel secure. Like, I wouldn't want to run with these. They're not as fitted as well-adjusted and properly sized glasses. I wear Oakleys with all the rubber removed. They're ultra-light, I have much better peripheral vision, they work well with hats and my Powerbeats, and they stay on no matter what even without the added grip.Third, they're not quite as private as I would hope. While my wife had them on I had her crank the tunes. When I'm next to her I can mostly hear the high frequencies. They're unintelligible and lower in amplitude than I would expect considering how loud it is for the wearer, but it is disruptive and potentially awkward (a lot less so than open cans though).Fourth, they're kind of bulky. They're right on the cusp of acceptability though.Fifth, it's another proprietary charging cable.Otherwise, honestly, this is a solid product even with the flaws. I give it a 7/10.I have to reiterate though, as much as I love my AirPods and Powerbeats Pros (except charging), it really is so, so nice having decent enough sound for audiobooks, podcasts, and very casual music without having something in my ears. And on the opposite end (over- or on-the-ear headphones), it's nice to wear something so significant (especially on hot days), let alone carrying the extra bulk.I'm pleasantly surprised by this product. I expected much worse.Oh, it's also got a single REAL button. And it's solid, not too easy or too hard to push. And my wife and I tested calls which were surprisingly good. And connection seems fairly far, equals H1. Could be a nice thing for kicking back on beach paired to just Apple Watch with phone and precious AirPods hidden in car.My daughter thinks they're super cool. "I thought they were just fat sunglasses. Really fat sunglasses. But they make noise!"I cranked Audible and my daughter, while sitting next to me, said she couldn't really hear the narrator. Or she heard something but couldn't make it out. Then my phone crashed and soft reset itself. Hahahaha [don't run betas, kids]....and back they go [returning]My wife said she wouldn't use them as much as she would like. And I'm already past the honeymoon phase with them.Surprising product though. Not crap. I could definitely see buying this product in second gen.For the record, AirPods sound significantly better (assuming they fit reasonably well).Slimmer and without a proprietary cable probably would've put me over the top. But yeah, meh.I was thinking if they did the whole charging case thing instead of a proprietary cable magnetically attaching to one of the arms, I might've kept them just for the heck of it.But alas.Had to return and purchased ray bans (another story) after charging the Bose glasses they are fully charged I turn them off the next day they will be dead. I go through the trouble of making sure these glasses are fully charged disconnected closed and still the battery is dead the following day I have no idea why so I returned them went to Ray bands alsoI purchased the glasses with translucent lenses which was a great move as I do not have to take the glasses on and off. Sorry to say but you are better off purchasing Ray-Bans on webpage as if there’s something wrong they will just instantly send you a new pair but since they were purchased from Amazon they have to be mailed back and then checked out and mailed back to me. But anyways back to the Bose glasses they sounded great charged up quickly they were very light and felt kind of cheap but the lenses Had a nice tent to them but I had the problem of keeping them charged I was making sure they were shut off but maybe I’m doing something else wrong but I’ll never know because they went backPerfect for audiophiles who like to hike. This product functions as advertised. This is my second pair. The first pair I owned lasted for about four years.
