First off, props the the Renewal team at Amazon, if I had been given these, I wouldn't know they were refurbished.Moving onto the actual product, the sound is amazing and just as good as my wh-1000xm4 over the years, the ANC/Ambience and Moc quality on these actually beat the WH imo.Texture of the earbuds and case is nice and I liked the color (I had ordered black but ended up with stone) the case is small enough to fit in the "coin pocket" of any of my jeans.However the earbuds are kind of ridiculously large, they stick out noticably from your ears, which to me wasn't a deal breaker, but because of the design I struggled to get them to into my ear and once in, none of the included tips fit right and after a few would cause pain in my ear.Tried multiple angles with each tip and the best fit was the medium tips, barely in my ear, which wasn't comfortable because the large outer of the buds.Maybe the XM5 earbuds will finally be a normal size....I had the previous model of these, the WF-1000XM3, and LOVED them. It would mostly cancel the noise of power equipment and of the drone of a coffee shop while still being able to hear your study buddy. And these perform just as well but with a much better call quality. They're also not as bulky or heavy to have in your ears. The compact design doesn't allow for that feeling of teetering on the edge of falling out of your ear that it's predecessor did.Everything I loved about my old ones, in a sleeker, smaller version.As for Amazon Renewed, I am very disappointed in the quality of the renewal. These came very dirty, including the original packaging. I used multiple alcohol swabs and wipes to finally get the case and devices cleaned. Unfortunately, the medium sized nibs were clearly well worn and covered in fused earwax. Gross! I tossed them since there was no way to get them clean.The battery drains pretty fast if you don't turn off ambiente. With it turned off it has a decent battery life. Two hours more could have helped it.I went down the earbud rabbit hole. Jabra 85t...nice headset, good app, buttons instead of taps but lacked oomph. Technics az60 were very good but the got lost in the midrange. Bass was punchier then jabras, I almost kept them as they are better then jabras and very good earbuds but I thought I could do better. BTW I always buy refurbished. Many, like me, return earbuds with nothing wrong with them other then were not happy with the product. Finally I sprung for the Sonys ($199.00 refurbished). If you read reviews there is 1 inescabable fact, the Sony wm4 earbuds consistently come up in reviews as best in sound and ANC. They arrived today and I finally have found earbuds that have a full sound and music sounds exceptional. I have not had time yet to see how good the ANC is nor tested for battery life. I'm.home, its quiet and theses earbuds are as good as advertized.Great app, touch controls are easy to use and sound is fantastic and they stay in my ears. I am now a happy camper rockin in the free world. Technics az60 were a close 2nd( $155 refurbished) but ultimately the Sony won out. Thank you Amazon for allowing me to test 3 pairs of earbuds. You can now resell the earbuds I returned as refurbished and are in perfect shape.PS, as good as these headphones are, they hurt my ears after about 20 minutes of wear Did not have that problem with other earbuds mentioned here. Going to go back to the technics az60.My review has nothing to do with these being amazon renewed, they were in good shape with just some minor scuffs on the inside of the case. My issue, and the reason I returned them was mainly the fit. I bought these to replace my Samsung galaxy buds+ from 2019 (still kickin 3 years later with no issues, just felt like upgrading), and it was a big let down. Right out of the box the Sony's charging case felt cheap considering the price tag. I tried on the different tips and checked with the Sony app to make sure they were fit correctly, but they still didn't feel right. I could tell that they weren't sitting tucked into the cartilage like my buds+ did, and if I shook my head I could actually hear the Sony's wobbling. That little gap was also enough to let in some wind I guess because when I went for a walk in Oakland CA with these on, the ANC could not deal with the wind noise at all. That being said, the ANC is amazing in basically any other circumstance as you'd expect from Sony. But the fit just didn't feel secure in my ears and the wind noise was too annoying to overlook for the price so I'm sticking with my old Samsung buds+Great deal for renewed product, totally enjoy!The product was not what I expected. Noise cancelation good but not great, sound not bad, but there's no kick to it. I've had wire ear buds compatible to the sound, much more of a kick to it, and (the important part) much, much cheaper.Forget Airpods, Beats, Bose, whatever other earbuds exist. If you got the money to spend on the best quality earbuds, I recommend the Sony WF-1000XM4. Noise cancelling that makes my tinnitus act up, battery life that can outlive the neighbor's annoying chihuahua and an amazing sound quality that makes me think I am in a concert. I highly recommend these. Price is pretty hefty, I am aware, but you truly do get what you pay for with these earbuds.I loved the earbuds, the sound quality is really good. Out of the box, the bass was not up to my expectation but there's an equalizer in the Sony microphone app which can be used to tweak the sound quality.The only thing I found bad about this product is that since it was a refurbished one, the USB charging cable was missing (this was not much of an issue) and the extra eartips that came with buds were silicon instead of foam (the medium ones were foam). If you have to use the small or large eartips, the silicon eartips would fit but eventually, after 20-30m of use, it would start to hurt like hell. Without the foam tips, the ANC does work as expected as the silicon tips would leak some of the outside noise.The earphones are very nice, with good noise cancellation as well as ambient sound mode.The earphones are not confortable when sleeping and the taps are triggered easily, wish there were buttons instead of tap action. The button are not really customizable, you can select predefined configuration of actions sets on buttons.Other features missing are wireless charging. Which I got used to from using galaxy buds. But type-c is good enough.Bought renewed version of this. The foam tips were a bit dirty but I just used the other sized ones after cleaning them again.6 mm drivers are u nuts, no bass.Oh at this bomb of a price can u please dont chnage the modes automatically if i have set you to anc to ambient mode. Stop geotagging places i go , to tune your favourites.This is a mess insted i go for overhead headphones. Please to Sony in your anc people here in India dont hush and talk so the anc need to be more noise cancelling.This is the second time I am getting a renewed headphones from Amazon and luckily they were unused sealed pack. So Great job there. Now moving to headphones review, I'll make it short and practical.Sound quality 4.5Active Noise Cancellation: 5 Best in industryMic Quality: 3.5 It's decent compared to Samsung and Airpods
