I bought these as a dual purpose hearing pro. Because of the comms I will use these for Airsoft events as I can hear coms and hear those around me with the added bonus of blocking out the percussion grenades. They work well for reel steel if your not shooting a rifle that you have to use a scope with or if your using a pistol. I found that I had problems maintaining my eye relief as these are sorts bulky and rest on the cheek weld before my cheek does. Don't get me wrong they do an amazing job just not for when I'm shooting a rifle with a scope
